Samantha Childs has wanted to write kid's books ever since she was a kid. She earned a BA with Honors in Literature from Claremont McKenna College and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University, and then a little French bulldog named Henri came along and brought her first book to life. Samantha has taught writing to students of all ages and lives and writes in Southern California.

Hannah Farr is a British illustrator and pet portraiture artist. She earned a BA with Honors in Illustration from Plymouth College of Arts. She spends her days capturing people's fur babies with love and energy in paint form, working on her online shop www.hannahfarr.co.uk , and playing with her dogs Maggie, Megan, and Marnie. Hannah lives and paints in Cornwall, England.

Henri (pronounced "Henry") is Samantha's French bulldog, and the star of Henri and the Magnificent Snort. Henri inspired, delighted, and touched hearts all over the world, directly and through his famous instagram account @henrilefrenchie. Henri brought joy and love and sunshine wherever he went, and he continues to do so within the pages of this book and whenever you think of him.

Henri and the Magnificent Snort was inspired by Samantha's childhood experiences of being bullied when starting a new middle school. These are interwoven within the book with the true story and lovable characteristics of Henri the Frenchie, and his journey moving from New York City to Southern California. And, like in the best times in life, there is a little extra magic sprinkled on top.

Fun Fact: Almost every pup illustrated within the pages of Henri and the Magnificent Snort is a dog in real life! They are the dogs and doggie angels of the author's family, friends, and Instagram friends - all lovingly painted by Hannah Farr.
